News from Wrights Group: Wrights Group launched its new double deck bus range at the Euro Bus Expo trade fair in Birmingham.
The Wrightbus StreetDeck is the latest new product from the Ballymena-headquartered complete bus builder. Also presented on the stand is the new look Gemini 3 Euro-6 double decker.
The StreetDeck is the latest new vehicle to be launched by Wrightbus, whose recent successes also notably include the New Routemaster bus produced specifically for London. Designed and built in Northern Ireland as a complete vehicle, using some of the technology developed for the New Routemaster, the new StreetDeck has class leading fuel efficiency and capacity, together with unmatched serviceability and whole life costs.
With stunning exterior styling and an interior which delivers new levels of comfort for passengers and driver alike, StreetDeck is in every sense the complete double deck bus. The new body style is shared across the enhanced Gemini 3 double deck range.
Speaking at the show, Wrights Group Chairman Mark Nodder said,“Wrights Group continues to be a major success story, not only as an innovator and technology leader with increasingly global ambitions in the bus industry, but also for the Northern Ireland economy. Today our manufacturing operations in Ballymena and Antrim, which include our Research and Development Centre of Excellence, employs over 1,800 people with a further 500 jobs sustained in the local supply chain.”
