Iveco will unveil its Vision concept at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show, giving visitors an insight into its future light commercial vehicle design.

The concept focuses on methods to reduce the environmental impact of light commercial vehicles and includes a self-adapting dual energy system, which chooses the appropriate power source for the conditions – either exclusively electric, ensuring zero local emissions and low noise levels, and the or hybrid (thermoelectric) suitable for longer journeys and extra-urban missions.

Other features include see-through front pillars offering unrestricted driver visibility and a rear-view camera displayed on a panoramic screen above the windscreen.

The brand will also unveil its new Hi-Matic gearbox in the New Daily – the first eight-speed automatic transmission in its class. Iveco says it offers operators a 4% reduction in fuel consumption and a 4kg weight saving over the previous generation AGile gearbox.

Iveco’s Vision concept will be on display on Stand 4G10 in Hall 4 throughout the 2015 CV Show, which takes place from 14-16 April at the NEC in Birmingham.
