Bus and coach registrations grew in February by 14.9%, the latest SMMT figures show.
A total of 409 units were sold as year-to-date values also rose, up by 34.3% compared with the same period in 2014.
February’s growth was fuelled by demand for converted buses and purpose-built coaches, increasing by 22.9% and 40% respectively.
“This second month of growth in 2015 is a positive indicator for the future stability of the bus and coach sector going forward,” said Mike Hawes, SMMT Chief Executive. “However, due to the variable nature of the market, we will be watchful of how the sector develops over coming months.”
