Vehicle Weighing Solutions will launch its latest Van Overload Protection System – VOPS2 – at the 2015 Commercial Vehicle Show.
More accurate and easier to fit than its predecessor, VOPS2 comes with an in-cab indicator displaying clear graphics for front and rear net, gross, and axle weights.
Monitoring a vehicle’s weight is vitally important for commercial drivers. VOSA and DSA’s Your Van Best Practice Guide warns that overloaded vans could land operators or owners with a fixed penalty or court appearance. If a vehicle is involved in an accident, this could escalate into a custodial sentence.
The VOPS2 load sensor, installed between the axle and the body of the vehicle, can be fitted to any commercial vehicles ranging from 3.5-7.5-tonnes.
VWS will also exhibit its full range of on-board vehicle weighing products and axle weighers at the 2015 CV Show, including a new solar powered version of its drive-on portable wheel weigh pad, the Apollo PT300.
VWS will be at stand 4H02 throughout the CV Show, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, between 14-16 April.
