Peugeot will celebrate 120 years of light commercial vehicle production by introducing the new Partner van at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show.
The new model of the UK’s best-selling light commercial van will be joined by Peugeot’s full range of award-winning LCVs, including the Partner Electric.
Officially launched in June, new Partner comes with a wide range of engines including a Euro-6 variant. A total of six engine-gearbox combinations are available, delivering from 75 to 100hp, with fuel consumption and CO2 emissions reduced, on average, by 15% compared to the previous model.
The 1.6-litre BlueHDi 100 S&S version has the lowest claimed CO2 emissions in the segment at 108g/km, with either manual or electronic controlled gearboxes.
The Partner’s front end features a revised headlamp design in line with the contemporary face of the brand. Technology available includes an optional reversing camera and, from November 2015, optional Active City Brake, which activates when a risk of collision is detected up to speeds of 20mph, reducing insurance and running costs.
Peugeot’s stand at the NEC will also feature the Partner Electric van, which offers zero emissions and a potential range of 105 miles between charges. Its battery carries an eight-year/60,000-mile warranty.
Joining it will be examples of the Peugeot Bipper, Expert and face-lifted Boxer, which benefitted from a restyle and enhanced specification in 2014 and achieved a top three sales position in the K3 (3.26-tonne to 3.5-tonne) and K4 (3.5-tonne to 5.0-tonne) sectors during 2014.
Peugeot will also demonstrate its vans’ terrain-beating Grip Control technology at the CV Show, along with a preview of the interactive TomTom units to be introduced to all of the Peugeot Professional range from June.
