International logistics and supply chain specialists Suttons Group has switched to Goodyear as its tyre supplier.

The four-year contract means the KMax tyre will be fitted to more than 300 tractor units and over 470 trailers for Suttons’ dedicated chemicals, gases, foodstuff and fuels fleets.

Suttons Logistics will also take advantage of Goodyear’s dedicated service and support network, TruckForce.

Sutton Group Procurement Manager Chris Lloyd Roberts said, “We always look for the best equipment and processes to protect our drivers, our customers and the general public.

“TruckForce is an expert in its field and offers a rigorous tyre management programme to ensure our vehicles are fully maintained and perform to their optimum – minimising downtime and decreasing the chance of disruption in our customers’ supply chains.”

Since launching its KMax and FuelMax tyres last year, Goodyear has struck deals with the fleets of A&D Logistics, Eddie Stobart, Hanson, Lloyd Fraser, Pollock Scotrans and Turners of Soham, as well as retaining the business of Cartwrights, DHL, Elddis Transport and Hargreaves.
