Budget UK has launched a new van rental service, partnering with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
VW will supply a total of 500 vans throughout 2015, as Budget UK looks to expand its vehicle rental service to the commercial sector.
Budget UK will supply 100 Volkswagen Transporters in London alone, with an additional 300 Transporter and 100 Caddy models bolstering the nationwide fleet.
Mark Servodidio, Northern Europe Managing Director for Avis Budget Group, said, “We’re confident the new service will offer small and medium businesses across the capital a truly flexible and cost-efficient alternative to a permanent fleet of vehicle.”
Chris Black, Head of Fleet at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK added, “We are delighted to be working with Budget UK. The Transporter and Caddy are the perfect vehicles for Budget UK. They provide ample space for storage yet have been designed to be easily manoeuvrable to take the effort out of driving and parking – a real benefit for any rental driver who is constantly in and out of a van.”
