A new Welfare Vehicle designed for use in the construction sector is being launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show this week.

Body and trailer manufacturer Cartwright is unveiling a new product, built on a Ford Transit chassis and body, which is in the process of full type approval.

It can accommodate up to seven people with three point seat belts for all and includes hot and cold water, a microwave oven and a fully flushing WC in a private toilet area.

It can be built on any medium or long wheelbase van and is a fully compliant road vehicle, ideal for use in applications such as rail, motorway and highway maintenance, utilities, airport airside operations or remote contracts.

Cartwright is launching four new products at the CV Show including the Welfare Vehicle and has doubled the size of its stand compared to last year’s event.

Rich Anderson, Cartwright’s Sales and Marketing Director said, “We are excited to be launching the Welfare Vehicle at the CV Show. It is the result of extensive research and development by our experienced engineering and design teams as well as feedback from the industry.”
