Schmitz Cargobull’s commitment to the rigid body sector has been demonstrated with the appointment of its first National Sales Manager for Truck Bodies.
Simon Lake brings 25 years of industry experience to the new position, having worked in senior roles at Allfleet Bodyshop Services and Truck Engineering, plus seven years at Bevan Group as a Business Development Manager.
Lake said the opportunity to join Schmitz Cargobull held “massive” appeal.
“Schmitz Cargobull’s rigid bodies are every bit as good as the company’s reefer trailers, so there’s naturally a huge opportunity to develop real growth. This is coupled with a genuine desire from senior management to become a market leader in the truck body sector.

Lake will be based at the company’s head office in Warrington, and will focus his time on meeting prospective fleet customers and building relationships with truck manufacturers and dealer networks.
