Aston Martin has announced plans to continue its successful apprenticeship programme by recruiting a further 10 young people onto the scheme.
This latest recruitment drive will see the apprentices join the manufacturer on a four-year programme to develop skills in key areas such as paint, trim, maintenance, control engineering, robotics and manufacturing engineering, and will join 40 other young people already taking part in the scheme.
Aston Martin CEO, Dr Andy Palmer, said, “As a strong advocate of apprenticeships – I started my automotive career in just such a role – I’m very happy that we are able to offer more young people this valuable opportunity.
“The success of the Second Century plan for enhanced global growth of the Aston Martin brand and significant expansion of our exciting product portfolio is, clearly, fundamental to this business but, through initiatives such as this, it is also clearly bringing real, long-term, benefits to a number of young people.”
To join the scheme, Aston Martin is looking for ambitious young people with academic aptitude and a passion for working in the UK automotive sector. For more information and to apply, visit the Aston Martin careers website.
