Telematics provides the spark for electrical services business

Electrical services business Ayjay Group says it has improved project turnaround and call-out response time after implementing a telematics system from Masternaut.

The system enables the firm to track and schedule vans while they are travelling to divert the closest engineers to customer call-outs. This saves time and fuel, and improves communication with and between engineers and customers.

Supplying information on fuel usage and driver behaviour to the HR team, it also highlights whether further staff training is required.

“It’s more important than ever to have systems that enable us to have visibility and control of our growing fleet of engineers,” said Ayjay Group Director Andrew Hall.

“Our office support team use Masternaut’s platform to allocate jobs faster and more accurately. From a scheduling perspective we can create reports and track project times historically, telling us how long a job took, how long it took to get there and when the job was completed.”
