Trailer component supplier BPW has justified over £1 million of investment with record production numbers for its trailer axle systems.
Since installing its first specialised jig in 2010, BPW has assembled 100,000 axles at its Leicester plant. A second jig was installed last November, further increasing factory output.
Steve Turton, BPW’s Managing Director said, “This is indeed testament to the skills of the UK manufacturing team. They were able to quickly adapt new processes and improve workflow to support and improve the continued growth of BPW Limited.”
BPW’s workforce has also grown, with 50 people now employed at the Leicester plant. The company’s portfolio of heavy trailer components includes wheels, landing legs, air tanks, superstructures and telematics.
