Nissan has announced an increase in its manufacturer warranty on most of its new LCVs to five years or 100,000 miles.

Effective for all new vehicles – except the e-NV200 electric van – sold since 1 September 2015, the upgraded warranty represents a two-year increase on the previous three-year offer, although the mileage limit has not changed.

The e-NV200 is not included in the upgraded warranty offer, and will continue to be covered by the existing manufacturer warranty of five years/ 60,000 miles for the EV system and three years/ 60,000 miles for the rest of the vehicle.

The manufacturer warranty covers the majority of component and chassis elements, from powertrain and battery through to paintwork, as well as genuine Nissan accessories as long as they are fitted by a Nissan dealer or authorised repairer.

Ponz Pandikuthira, Director of Light Commercial Vehicles for Nissan Europe said, “Nissan has a long heritage in LCVs and we intend to grow our presence in this market across Europe. The five-year Manufacturer Warranty was developed following in depth research among our LCV customers to understand what they valued most.

“Launching this market-leading LCV warranty is testament to Nissan’s confidence in the quality of our vehicles and the peace of mind we wish to offer our customers across Europe.”
