Purpose of the Post:
- Lead on development, delivery and promotion of the member services product portfolio to support membership retention and recruitment.
- Lead on the member services marketing activities.
- Support development and implementation of SMMT’s supply chain activities including Open Forum events and Automotive Supplier Finder service.
- Support the coordination of SMMT’s industry stakeholder engagement programme including webinars, regional road shows and other related events.
- Support data back-up requirements for PIE and PO reports.
- Provide administrative support for project and committee meetings.
Qualifications/Skills/Attributes required:
- Graduate level – preferably with a business, creative or marketing background
- Highly motivated team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to form good working relationships with people.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively on different projects without supervision.
- Self starter with a pro-active approach who possess a strong sense of initiative
- Effective communication and presentation skills – both oral and written
- Highly organised with a structured approach to project co-ordination
- Ability to co-ordinate data, analyse and present it in an easily read format
- Focused with the ability to work under pressure and commitment to delivering results on time and to budget.
- Reliable and solid team player with a strong sense of shared objectives and common goals
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet. Experience with CRMs and email marketing platforms ideal but not essential.
Main duties include:
- Develop, implement and promote member services products to both members and potential members ensuring high level of usage – in doing so, supporting membership recruitment and retention.
- Coordination of the department’s member services marketing activities working closely with the communications department for broad coverage – this includes social media, website editing, writing marketing campaigns and material for marketing and website use.
- Working with the member services team, ensure the right products are kept up-to-date and available in the right format.
- Identification of trends and development of new and alternative products based on sound analysis product and service usage analysis and monitoring
- Lead on the exhibition sales, processing payments and organising their stands at relevant events.
- Coordinate and deliver monthly webinars ensuring topics are timely, of mass appeal and have a good level of participation.
- Support, and lead where required, on relevant projects including events, seminars and meetings (eg Supply Chain Group, Meet the Buyer, SME Road shows and Open Forum etc).
- Provide administrative support for relevant meetings/events, including preparation of agendas, minutes and reports and ensure that agreed actions are implemented.
- Support data maintenance activities including ASF and Integra (CRM).
- Support data collation for PIE and PO reports when required.
- Operational and help desk support for the Automotive Supplier Finder (ASF).
- Support the ongoing development and roll out of ASF and supply chain project.
- Support the project manager / department head with other projects as required.
- Other duties as required.
