The first companies signed up to participate in June’s Meet the Buyer event have been confirmed.
Taking place on 8 June at the inaugural Automechanika Birmingham trade show at the NEC, Meet the Buyer will bring together vehicle manufacturers looking to fill purchasing requirements with supply chain companies matching their needs.
Vehicle manufacturers already signed up include Aston Martin, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, McLaren, MINI and Toyota.
Meet the Buyer is jointly run by SMMT and UKTI’s Automotive Investment Organisation (AIO), and is part of wider efforts to re-shore the UK supply chain as domestic suppliers look to capitalise on billions of pounds of business opportunities.

The event is strictly invitation-only. Companies are advised to submit their expressions of interest as soon as possible by completing a profile here. All submissions must be completed by 29 April 2016.
