Cartwright Conversions has been awarded Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier status for its conversions of the Transit.

A small number of converters hold this qualification in the UK and is confirmation that Cartwright Conversions meets the high standards required by Ford. It also means Cartwright Conversions have the opportunity to display Ford conversions in dealerships across the country.

Steve Shaw, Commercial and Operations Director, Cartwright Conversions, said, “We are delighted to have achieved Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier status. The Ford Transit is an iconic vehicle that is relied upon by thousands of businesses and is also extremely versatile, making it ideal for conversions. We are looking forward to a long and productive relationship with Ford.”

Alongside mobility conversions of the Ford Transit Minibus and Transit Custom, Cartwright Conversions has supplied Lincolnshire Police with ten modified Ford Kuga patrol vehicles to tackle rural crime including hare coursing, and is experienced in converting Fords for emergency service use, welfare, mobility and racking.

Steve Shaw was presented with the QVM certificate by Ford’s Chief Program Engineer for Special Commercial Vehicles, Simon Robinson, at Ford’s Technical Centre in Essex.
