Tiger Trailers, a trailer manufacturer and commercial vehicle bodybuilder, has become a partner of the Northern Powerhouse; an initiative working to boost the local economy through skills, innovation, transport and culture investment.
The invitation for Tiger Trailers to join followed a meeting between local MP Antoinette Sandbach and the Northern Powerhouse Minister Jake Berry, where they discussed the firm’s plans for growth, apprenticeships and graduate training. The firm has also just commenced work on its new £22m factory, occupying 20 acres and will result in 270 additional jobs. Production will begin to transfer to the new site later this year with full operation by 2019, including the dedicated in-house training facility that will allow Tiger Trailers to potentially double the number of apprenticeships they can offer.
