Don-Bur has delivered the first of an order for curtainside trailers to Hayton Coulthard Transport Ltd.
The haulier, awarded Scottish Haulage Company of the Year 2017, ordered a batch of 13.7m tri-axle trailers, with 2.8m apertures to the sides and rear and an overall height of 4.3m in a heavy-duty design. Designed to cope with ferry operation, the pillarless bodywork is fitted with hard-wearing 29mm floor and achieves a EN 12642-XL rating. The trailers are also fitted with an aerodynamic front dome and rear roof air diffuser, with livery produced in-house by Sapphire Graphics.

The first trailer went into operation in February, and Managing Director Couthard added, “Driver feedback has been ‘exceptional’”.
