UK-based bus manufacturer Optare has appointed a new sales director, Allan Kennedy, who joins the company from bus and coach builder Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL). Optare is a leading British manufacturer of urban buses with a modern assembly facility near Leeds, Yorkshire, employing around 300 people.

As Optare’s reach grows globally, Kennedy will take responsibility for UK retail sales and support Robert Drewery, Optare’s Commercial Director, in developing UK group sales, as well as overseas dealer sales.

He has spent more than a decade in sales with ADL, having delivered growth in a range of senior national and international roles. Allan’s sales expertise builds on seven years’ experience as a coach builder at the start of his career.”
