The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) has announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive.
Graham Vidler will replace the current Interim Chief Executive, Peter Gomersall, who will return to the role of Deputy Chief Executive.
A graduate of the University of Kent, Graham, who takes up his new role on May 7, joins from the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association, where he was Director of External Affairs.
Previously he held roles in marketing, policy and research at Aviva, Which?, The Association of British Insurers and the House of Commons.
Graham said, “I am delighted to be joining CPT during these critical yet exciting times for the industry.
“There has never been a better time for coach and bus operators to join together and demonstrate the vital role they have to play in helping governments, local authorities and stakeholders meet our shared objectives – improving air quality, reducing road congestion and supporting the economic prosperity of our towns and high streets – while also continuing to provide a first class service to passengers.
“I very much look forward to meeting with CPT members across the UK to learn first-hand about the many challenges they face and the changing operational landscape which lies ahead.”
