The Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT) has launched a new integrated driving licence verification service allowing UK driving licences to be quickly and easily checked for compliance and insurance purposes.

Launched in partnership with TruTac, CPT Licence Check has been designed to both reduce the administrative burden placed on bus and coach operators and improve and streamline in-house auditing procedures.

The system, which is fully compliant with DVSA’s Earned Recognition scheme, integrates seamlessly with CPT Tacho Analysis and therefore provides accurate driving licence verification.

Bus and coach operators will also benefit from secure online access, full management control and reduced manual administration, while remaining fully compliant with the Data Protection Act and GDPR regulations at all times.

CPT’s Interim Chief Executive, Peter Gomersall, said, “CPT is committed to working with industry leaders and partners such as TruTac to further develop products and services designed to help our operating members comply with the many complex rules and regulations surrounding the operation of buses and coaches.”

TruTac’s Commercial Director, Jemma James, added, “CPT Licence Check is another valuable tool to help bus and coach operators remain compliant and keep on top of daily operations.  We are delighted to be working alongside CPT and look forward to rolling out this service to members over the coming weeks and months.”
