The company behind London’s iconic black cab has unveiled its first panel van.
LECV’s new LCV has been designed to meet increasing global demand for green, electrified commercial transport for urban areas.
Based on the same architecture as the firm’s TX taxi, the new model uses e-City range extender technology for a fully-electric range of 80 miles and an EV range of 377 miles, according to the manufacturer.
The van will be targeted at those who travel around 100 miles a day and for those operators that connect out-of-town distribution hubs with customers in urban locations.
Joerg Hofmann, CEO of LEVC, said, “Future urban transport is already changing rapidly and we have a golden opportunity to bring something new and disruptive to this market.”
