Fiat Professional has given the world’s motoring media their first glimpse of its all-electric version Ducato van, which is set to go on sale in 2020.
The Ducato Electric is the first full-electric Fiat Professional model and has been designed and developed according to the FCA Group’s most advanced quality standards.
This involved using a year’s worth of real-world customer data to establish demand and drive the vehicle’s development direction.
A choice of modular battery options will be available, with the vehicle able to achieve a range of between 136 miles and 223 miles (NEDC cycle), depending on the option chosen. A variety of charging configurations can also be specified.
According to Fiat Professional, the change of powertrain does not compromise the Ducato’s load-carrying capability, with volumes of between 10 and 17 m3 and payloads of up to 1,950kg.
