Orpington-based operator Guideline Coaches (Kent) has taken delivery of a further two Scania coaches.

Both vehicles are based on Scania’s 410 horsepower K 410 EB6x2*4 rear-steer chassis and are equipped with 13.22-metre overall length Irizar i6S bodywork.

The chassis specification includes Scania’s fully-automated Opticruise gear-selection system and, to ensure maximum safety and comfort in operation, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Advanced Emergency Braking systems are all fitted.

The Irizar i6S bodywork features 54 reclining passenger seats with three-point seatbelts and seat-back tables, climate control, centre sunken toilet and washroom, servery, fridge, Bosch audio/video professional equipment, a Bosch bluetooth microphone in the driver’s seat, reversing camera, LED headlamps and aircraft style covers to the overhead luggage space. The interiors are also complemented by a wood-effect floor.

In addition to the high specification vehicles themselves, Guideline Coaches will also benefit from Scania’s inclusive two-year repair and maintenance programme, which will be managed by Scania Maidstone. Scania’s Control telematics package, which monitors driver and vehicle performance and emails reports direct to the customer, is also included on a complimentary basis for ten years.  As with all new coaches sold to retail customers, driver and technical training is offered.
