Uber Freight – a subsidiary of the global brand behind the ride-hailing app – is to open a new global headquarters in Chicago, underlining its belief that the global freight and logistics industry is ‘ripe for change.’
The company, which has already grown massively since its launch three years ago, sees a huge opportunity to carve out a significant slice of the worldwide 3.8 trillion-dollar freight spend by bringing its technology to market.
Operating in much the same way as the Uber ride-hailing app, Uber Freight connects customers with goods to ship and distributors with capacity.
