More than 70 new Citroën commercial vehicles are being deployed at NHS sites nationwide as the country fights the Coronavirus.
The vehicles were delivered last week to NHS Property Services, which owns and manages more than 3,000 health service facilities.
They will be used in carrying out critical maintenance and repair to NHS premises.
Supplying dealer John Grose in Ipswich delivered the vans as a priority and, given the unprecedented demand on NHS services, was able to prepared them for handover rapidly despite reduced staffing levels.
The new vehicles, the majority of which are Citroën Dispatch BlueHDi100 XS Enterprise models, join another batch of 29 vans handed over earlier this year – as part of an order for 200 vehicles in total.
In 2019, 341 Citroën commercial vehicles were supplied by Knowles Associates to NHS Property Services.
Graham Smales, Corporate Sales Manager at Groupe PSA UK, said, “NHS Property Services is a valued customer of the Citroën brand and I am proud that we have been able to support the critical work being done by NHS Property Services at this time, with a rapid supply of vans.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all parties involved in getting the vehicles turned around so quickly, including the racking and sign writing providers as well as the teams at Knowles Associates, Alphabet and LeasePlan, most notably though, the team at John Grose Citroën who prepared the vehicles in record time and on reduced staffing levels.”
