BJS Home Delivery has taken delivery of 260 new Renault trucks and light commercial vehicles to support its expansion and launch of a new haulage offering. The deal comes after the company announced growth into the food, retail, construction and manufacturing haulage sectors.
As part of a fleet replacement and expansion programme, 80 new Renault Trucks T480 6×2 tractor units, 5 T480 6×2 drawbar units and 175 Renault Trucks Master platform cabs and Trucksmith Loloader bodies will be maintained at BJS’ local dealer, Renault Trucks Midlands, Tipton.
BJS managing director, Harinder Singh, said, “We selected Renault Trucks as the chosen manufacturer for our large increase in the fleets of both Home Delivery and Haulage due to the long-standing and positive relationship we have had for many years on our 200+ home delivery fleet. They gave us the confidence in the service and support which we will continue to receive on these new HGVs.”
Renault Truck Commercials sales director, Rick Edwards, added, “We are delighted that BJS has once again chosen to trust us with its vehicle requirements at such a crucial time in its business development. We are also delighted to assist BJS by supplying an 18-tonne rigid in support of its Under One Sky initiative.”
Under One Sky is a community organisation aiming to reduce homelessness in the UK by providing work for those currently affected. BJS has provided work under the scheme using a Renault Trucks Ts to help distribute donations to people living on London streets.
