While it’s clearly a long process, with at least another six weeks until ‘non-essential’ retail (including dealerships) can re-open, and even longer for all restrictions to be rolled back, here’s hoping that after a very hard year, we’ll soon see reasons to be cheerful. On the subject of looking ahead and fleet renewal, Transport for London will begin enforcement of the Direct Vision Standard and HGV Safety Permit from Monday of next week – along with tougher LEZ emissions standards. Make sure you’re ready, to avoid a costly Penalty Charge Notice.
