Commercial vehicle conversions partner MS-RT is to establish a new £4m facility at Ford’s Dagenham plant.
The new facility is intended to provide work for more than 50 new employees when it opens in 2022, rising to more than 120 new jobs when fully operational, and will meet increasing customer demand for the company’s vehicle conversions.
It will be located in an existing building at Ford Dagenham, providing the opportunity for MS-RT to expand its business while enabling easier access to Ford technical expertise in Dagenham and at the nearby Ford Britain Dunton Campus.
MS-RT’s existing facility in Pontypool, South Wales will continue to operate with no loss of jobs.
The Ford Pro conversions specialist creates distinctive models based on Ford’s leading commercial vehicle nameplates and has been a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) since 2020.
MS-RT vehicles are inspired by 40 years of motor racing experience on and off the track with its partner, M-Sport, and products include the Ford Transit Connect MS-RT; the Ford Transit Custom MS-RT; and the Ford Ranger MS-RT.
