It’s T-minus 11 days and counting before the 2022 Commercial Vehicle Show opens its doors again at the NEC Birmingham on Tuesday 24 May.
Usually we’d have to wait a year between shows, but following the success of last year’s end of August return as restrictions rolled back, the event is now back to its Spring slot in a sign that at least some things are getting back to normal.
So, besides a second chance to network with thousands of others from the sector, what does the 2022 Show have in store? The show preview will point you in the right direction, but with the focus on the future of the industry, key highlights include brace of seminar areas with the Workshop Theatre and the ‘Road Ahead’ Theatre. This year will feature sessions on how to resolve the driver shortage, how to boost diversity, equity and inclusion, and SMMT will also be presenting on the challenges and opportunities for operators in making the switch to electric vans.
There’s also a pair of dedicated show areas for workshops and the cold chain, Ineos will display the Grenadier for the first time amongst other vehicle displays from Ford, Isuzu, Toyota and big metal from Gray and Adams and SDC.
As ever, SMMT also has a stand – see you there at 5E60! Don’t forget to register at www.cvshow.com, and I look forward to seeing you there, from Tuesday 24 May to Thursday 26 May.
