Tiger Trailers has designed, manufactured and delivered 40 articulated box van trailers for Primark as part of its new 3PL partnership with Wincanton.
The Cheshire-based trailer manufacturer’s production teams and lines worked tirelessly over a three month period to produce the trailers, helped by its nightshift operation which has now been running for more than a year.
Primark’s new straight-frame box vans are in twin and tri-axle guises and are fitted with tail-lifts incorporating hinged rear and side ramps, various LED lights to enhance safety, and Michelin X Line Energy tyres with environmental, fuel efficiency and fleet management aims in mind.
Livery was applied by Finch Signs, a business local to Primark’s Islip distribution centre.
Primark has placed orders for more than forty additional trailers, scheduled for manufacture during the fourth quarter of 2022 into the first quarter of 2023.
This includes more than a dozen retail moving deck double decks and several specialist trailers such as LSTs.
