Yorkshire logistics provider The Green Group has taken delivery of 101 new Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks from Asset Alliance Group, in one of the contract hire specialist’s largest deals of the year to date.
The order, part of a major renewal programme of The Green Group’s 150-strong fleet, includes 86 Actros BigSpace tractor units and 15 Actros GigaSpace trucks, supplied on a three-year contract hire basis.
The vehicles will be based in Rotherham, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Livingston, providing contract logistics, general haulage and warehousing services to UK customers.
Meanwhile, the BigSpace tractor units are specified with three-way camera systems, adaptive cruise control, Samsara’s telematics system, as well as comfort and media packages.
The GigaSpace trucks feature 530 hp engines, and the cabs include a bigger living space for drivers than their BigSpace counterparts.
