Five years on from the acquisition of Transflex, how have things progressed?
The Transflex acquisition has helped us grow substantially over the past five years, allowing us to strengthen our offering to a wider customer base and our position in the LCV hire market. Since the acquisition, which added an additional 3600 vehicles to our fleet, we have experienced significant growth and expanded our fleet to around 13,000 vehicles and counting.
In addition to growing the fleet, we have also added to our team with numerous new staff members, who have joined Dawsongroup vans across all branches, in all areas of the business. We also still have 34 team members who were involved in the Transflex acquisition still enjoying working with us five years on. Knowing we have a dedicated team on hand who all share our commitment to customer service has given us the confidence to pursue new opportunities, which has been amazing to see.
How is the company’s journey towards electrification going?
The journey to net zero is one that all businesses need to embark on sooner rather than later, and at Dawsongroup vans, we are positioning ourselves at the forefront of this transition to electric vehicles (EVs). We have a wide range of EVs on fleet that are ready and available on a variety of hire agreements. In addition to this, we have a created a dedicated team of net zero advisors, Team Target Zero, who are consistently looking at how we deliver on our net zero objectives so we are perfectly positioned to support our customers in achieving a smooth transition to electrification.
