In just over three months’ time, we will open the doors to the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham, taking place 23 to 25 April. With a stellar turn out in 2023 with more than 11,400 visitors, over the three days, the CV Show demonstrated that is it the leading industry event in the UK for showcasing commercial vehicles and supporting products and services.

The industry is undergoing rapid transition, as is already apparent from the variety of new technologies on display. And as the show by industry, for industry, with everything under one roof, this year’s CV Show will also include a seminar programme designed to equip operators with vital insight and expertise to effectively navigate their way to future success. The main focus will be decarbonisation with experts providing guidance on introducing a zero emission fleets, as well as sessions on regulatory change, developing future skills and technology.

The clock is ticking towards the end of sale dates for all commercial vehicles and all operators need to understand the challenges their business will face in the years ahead – ultimately to ensure their fleet investments are well informed. With few fleet renewal cycles between now and 2035, now is absolutely the time to start looking at how to best plan ahead.

As an example of how things are changing, this week the government announced £7 million funding for hydrogen projects that will grow the economy and support skilled jobs in the North East of England. Together, the three winning projects will innovate hydrogen-powered transport in the Tees Valley placing the region at the forefront of the hydrogen transport sector, bringing skills, jobs, exports and growth. It will also provide evidence and experience to support future policy, strategy and investment decisions over the coming years.

Knowledge, and planning, are the keys to success. Sign up now to secure your pass and place at the CV Show – and prepare the future.
