IVECO has extended its Driveaway programme to include the eDaily model for operators looking to go electric.
Taking advantage of the modular battery system of the eDaily and specially selected lightweight Brit-Tipp bodywork, the ‘ready built’ two-battery vehicles provide a minimum one-tonne payload.
Models in the programme include the eDaily with alloy Dropside body which possesses a 1,393kg payload, and can be used for a broad range of applications, as well as the eDaily and Brit-Tipp tipper body combination with a 1,223kg payload.
Also available is the eDaily Caged Tipper, which features a payload of 1,073kg, and delivers zero-emissions for operators in sectors such as urban waste disposal, grounds maintenance, forestry and utility work.
Each of the new eDaily Driveaway vehicles is powered by a 140kW electric motor that drives the rear-wheels for optimum traction.
In addition, up to 80kW rapid charging enables more operators than ever before to electrify their fleets.
The vehicles also feature ‘Business’ trim that includes automatic air conditioning, front fog lights, heated door mirrors, and cruise control as standard.
They are available now from all IVECO dealerships and come with a maintenance package and three-year body warranty.
The 4.25-tonne eDaily also enables an up to 2.75-tonne towing capacity with a seven-tonne GTW.
Mike Cutts, IVECO UK Light Business-line Director, said: “The class-leading characteristics of the IVECO eDaily are further enhanced by joining the Driveaway Programme.
“Proving hugely popular with IVECO Daily diesel models, this ‘one-stop-shop’ approach will allow more customers than ever to go electric quickly and efficiently.”
