The Specialist Vehicle Builders Group is designed to meet the needs and activities of a broad range of automotive businesses supplying to and producing all-new and converted vehicles for specialist applications.
The group’s constitution is in development and responsive to member requirements, but initial involvement is expected from those producing a very diverse range of types including, amongst others, motorhomes, emergency response and tow vehicles cold-chain delivery, hearses, dangerous goods transportation, limousines and road sweepers.
Likely topics of initial and ongoing discussion include European Whole Vehicle Type Approval, IVA/SVA, emissions (WLTP and RDE), safety, drivetrain and supply chain, but these subject areas are similarly flexible to member requirements.
