Today, SMMT released figures for January pre-registrations in the UK new car market.

SMMT is giving UK automotive suppliers the opportunity to meet 22 new potential customers at its Meet the Buyer event on 12 May. The event gives UK component manufacturers the rare chance to meet face to face with some of the automotive industry’s largest Tier-1 suppliers.

Mike Hawes, SMMT Chief Executive, has announced that the number of UK-built cars exported to India has increased nine-fold since 2009, with 2,836 British-built cars sold in the country in 2014.
