Fine food producer and distributor Harvey & Brockless has deployed a range of tools from Teletrac Navman’s fleet management platform across its 75-strong fleet of refrigerated vehicles.
The tech will help the company, which works with artisan food producers across the globe to supply a nationwide network of customers from the smallest farm shops to restaurants and food manufacturers, optimise its delivery service.
Sophisticated vehicle tracking and reporting will help improve efficiency while driver behaviour monitoring will reduce on-road risks.
A high-tech temperature monitoring system, which ensures that temperature-controlled goods are handled correctly and remain in the right condition, allows the business to gain real-time visibility to address any issues and avoid losses.
Teletrac Navman’s UK vice president of sales, Scott Hutchins, said, “Fast and efficient distribution is absolutely essential when operating in the food and drink sector, so our offering was a natural fit for Harvey & Brockless’ fleet requirements.
“The business now has full visibility of its fleet performance, as well as the ability to maintain food safe temperatures during transit.”
Additionally, the deal includes the MNAV 950 portable communication device installed into every vehicle, along with access to its professional services team to help plan and implement the fit-out across the entire fleet.
Harvey & Brockless’ fleet manager Robert Elliott said, “When looking to change our tracking and telematics provider, Teletrac Navman really stood out by offering continuous temperature monitoring during shipment, which allows us to maintain compliancy by preventing food safety problems from occurring.
“The investment has also helped to optimise driver journeys, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction through the smooth-running of our services.”
