Production Outlook end of year review 2020

26 November 14:00 – 15:00

Ian Henry, AutoAnalysis, will present his new Production Outlook report giving views on the UK and European car and light van production. With uncertainties around Covid-19 and UK-EU trade deal still on-going Ian will be presenting his latest thoughts on both the short term and the outlook to 2025. The report is timed to coincide with the release of the October production data. SMMT will also present a short economic and market outlook ahead of Ian’s presentation. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and challenge Ian/SMMT’s views – any questions in advance would be most welcome.

With just six weeks until the new customs arrangements come into force for trading between Great Britain and the EU this webinar will discuss the UK government’s plans for the Great Britain border from 01 January 2021, what businesses can expect when importing and exporting between Great Britain and the EU and what steps can be taken to prepare. SMMT will also provide the latest insights into the UK-EU negotiations.

COVID-19: webinar 18

Join SMMT Chief Executive Mike Hawes and the SMMT policy team this Wednesday 4 November from 11:30 to 12:30 for updates on the new lockdown measures announced by Boris Johnson on Saturday. These new measures are to be introduced from Thursday 5 November. We will cover which businesses are able to remain open, MOT, service and repair, approvals, furlough provisions and any clarifications we have received from government following questions members have already asked on these topics. While there will be an opportunity to post further questions during the call we only have an hour and may not be able to get through all of them. We will take all questions away.

SMMT’s Environment and Technical teams will compliment the government presenters walking you through CO2, REACH and Type Approval.
